Hi sir, i was looking though ur primer on the interest rates and was confused on the steepeners and flatterners. Are you perhaps talking about it in terms of the yield itself.
Because intuitively, for example for a Steepening - I would long St and short the LT as, I will want the yield for the ST to drop, meaning price will rise and yield for LT to drop, meaning price will fall.
Trump just promised $5,000 to each of the 12 members of the Federal Open Market Committee if they vote to cut the federal funds rate by quarter-point this week at their meeting. And if they go for a half-point cut, Trump has hinted at an even larger bonus check. Checks ($$) and balances.
