And as always, a Pepe for the culture!
Wow man. What you said really resonated with all my learnings in markets over the years. I was lucky enough to go to an elite university in my country, but I really hated it. I was a mediocre student at best, so I when I was about two years away from graduating I really thought it was over for me in terms of getting a good job in the financial industry of my country. Typically those spots are saved for the good little compliant automatas who get all the good grades. I was not one of them, so I focused on what I like doing, learning about markets. When I got knowledgeable enough about markets I started writing blog entries on obscure blogs and then even got published on some opinion pieces on small newspapers. I also started creating my own trading models. I leveraged all that on my CV to get interviews at the prestigious spots, which was the hardest part for me. The interviews were a breece. I only had to apply what I learned best from following markets over the years: how to tell a story in a compelling way. Something which no college automata hardo will be able to do. Not in a credible way at least. Fast forward to 2024, I am sitting pretty at my dream job :)
