Great work as always! I know this will be a great series. I have two questions, first is the CME FX swap rate monitor similar to the XCCY chart from bloomberg? And I’m currently reading the art of currency trading (great book) but a lot of books/literature on trading FX is focused on spot trading? I’m wondering how different currency futures trading is compared to spot trading?
So no the CME fx took is not xccy. The futures curve of fx is going to connect with the fx forwards. Similar to how bonds might trade at different rates across the curve, fx does as well.
For futures compared to spot it really depends. Generally speaking if you’re just trading directionally, the closest future contracts are just a proxy. Depending on the constraints of the situation, I’ll use futures as opposed to spot.
The other books provide a much more technical explanation of things. Brent’s book is more from a traders perspective than a technical one.
I don’t have the PDF currently, my pc is getting repaired. but i can recommend the website zlibrary check that website out and you’ll be able to find almost any book you want

Read book #4 in the article for the technical side.
